Winner

This photo is the winning photo from the Junior Photo Competition for 2011. The standard of all teams game photos this year were very good, but this one caught my eye for a number of reasons. Note how the players are in focus, but the crowd (including a Marist flag!) are slightly out of focus. The determined looks on the faces of the ball carrier and the chasers. If you look at it long enough it almost becomes a 3D image. It really caught the action, speed and passion of free flowing rugby played in the Marist style.

Rob has been playing for Marist North Harbour for a long time and is a regular for the Bluebellies. He is a grandad, and if Marist North Harbour every print any stamps, Rob will be up there, right after the pope!
